Collectively, we believe that:

Volunteer Opportunities

Most of our regular shifts are Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 4-6pm. You may be involved in helping with any of the following activities:

  • Unloading deliveries
  • Sorting and packaging food
  • Shopping with Neighbours
  • Assisting in the kitchen
  • Welcoming Neighbours to our Community Meals and Grocery Programs

After hours, many volunteers participate in fundraising and community events.

Host an Event or Fundraiser

Parkdale Food Centre only gets a small amount of funding from the City of Ottawa. To be able to share healthy food, warm meals, and support to all Neighbours, we love collaboration and support from people just like you and organizations just like yours.

One of the best ways to help is to organize an event on our behalf. This not only raises support but also raises awareness of food security needs in Ottawa.

GIVING TUESDAY IS HERE

We’re getting a head start on Giving Tuesday! Our
campaign kicks off today, November 25th, and
runs until December 5th. Every dollar donated will
be matched by a few private donors.
