Right to Food Day

Parkdale Food Centre’s 4th annual Right to Food Day Block Party is Saturday October 4th 2025, at Parkdale Park from noon-3pm. 

In 2022, PFC successfully advocated the City of Ottawa to declare October 5th Right to Food Day. That is why every year the community gathers on that weekend to celebrate that food is not a privilege, but a Human Right! 

Enjoy free food, music, kids activities, engage with PFC and our community partners about food security, and above all HAVE FUN!

This year we have an incredibly generous matching donation from a local supporter. From October 1st to October 12th every dollar donated will be doubled – up to $30k!
